AirTap ("the app," "AirTap," "we," or "us") is built with your privacy as a default, not an afterthought. This policy explains, plainly, what happens to your information when you use AirTap and the AirTap App Clip.
AirTap does not collect, store, transmit, or share any personal data. There is no account to create, no analytics, no advertising, and no tracking of any kind. The app and App Clip work entirely on your device. The one exception is if a tag's link is opened in a web browser, described below.
When you use the AirTap app to write a Wi-Fi network name and password to an NFC tag, that information is encoded directly onto the physical NFC tag using your device's NFC hardware, in two forms: a link that opens the AirTap App Clip on iPhone, and the standard Wi-Fi format that Android phones read natively. The app does not send it to AirTap, to techfixpro.net, or to any server, and it is not stored anywhere except the physical tag and, briefly, your device's memory while the app is running.
Because the network name and password are stored on the tag, anyone who can read the tag can read them. Place tags only where you would be comfortable sharing the password.
When someone taps an AirTap NFC tag, the App Clip (or the AirTap app, if it's installed) reads the network name and password directly from the link encoded on the tag and uses Apple's NEHotspotConfigurationManager framework to prompt the user to join that Wi-Fi network. This happens locally on the device that taps the tag. AirTap does not see, log, or have any way of knowing which networks are joined, by whom, or when.
If a tag's link is opened in a web browser instead of the App Clip (for example, on a device without the App Clip), the browser loads a page on airtap.techfixpro.net that shows the network name and password so they can be entered by hand. Because the network name and password are part of that link, they are sent to the website's hosting provider, Vercel, as part of the request. AirTap does not store them or use them for anything. Vercel may keep standard request logs for a limited time under its own privacy policy. The page asks search engines not to index these links and does not pass them on to other websites.
Neither permission is used to collect or transmit information about you.
AirTap does not integrate any third-party analytics, advertising, or crash-reporting services. The airtap.techfixpro.net website is hosted by Vercel, as described above.
AirTap does not knowingly collect any information from anyone, including children under 13, because it does not collect information from anyone at all.
If this policy ever changes, the updated version will be posted at this same address with a revised "Last updated" date above.
